Kad Raya

Wohoo, I received two kad raya and a parcel from Malaysia..Coincidentally, both of them reached me on the same day..Today was an awesome day, indeed I was surprised and absolutely happy..I wasn't expecting for the kad raya, just waiting for my baju melayu as promised by my parents..

Okay, the first kad raya was from my family; ayah, ibu and adik2..Hmm, what my parents wrote really made me sad, especially the part where ibu wrote..Adeyhh, felt like crying man..Then, my brothers and sister also wrote something for me..Damn, they all made fun of me..No duit raya for abang this year..Plus, they stacked 10 cents on the card as my duit raya..Hee..No duit raya for abang meaning nothing from Aussie for you guys this coming November yea..=b

The second kad raya was from her..Well, what she wrote shouldn't be revealed here I guessed..HeHe..Let it be kept as my dirty little secret..Anyway, thanks a lot for the kad raya..Really appreciate that even it was not as big as the one which Nuri bought..At least, I got kad raya =)

Salam Perantauan

Adeyhh, entry paling sedih nihh..Tahun nihh beraya sensorang laa di sini, Canberra..First time beraya tanpa parents and other family members..Memang nak balek raya dengan dorang, but takde cuti plak..Bukan takde duit, bukan takde flight ticket, bukan parents tak kasi..Contra sungguh raya this year compare to my previous raya.. Orang laen raya dalam masjid, dengartakbir..Aku raya dalam lecture hall, dengar lecture..Orang laen raya pakai baju melayu, aku raya pakai t-shirt with jeans je laa..Orang laen dengar lagu raya..Aku pun boleh dengar lagu raya, but tak feel macam di Malaysia laa..Orang laen makan kuih raya, ketupat..Aku makan kebab, pizza je laa..Orang laen dapat duit raya..Aku abihkan duit lagi di sini..HuHuu..

So, this year, masuk newspaper je laa..Salam Perantauan..HeHe..Ini pun first time..Now I know how other students who are pursuing studies oversea feel when it comes to raya..SEDIH siot!!

Puasa

So far, sudah 20 hari umat Islam berpuasa..Damn fast..Seriously, rasa kejap sangat..Pejam celik pejam celik..Just tinggal another 10 days of Ramadhan..Then, raya laa =) BUT puasa this year laa paling mencabar for me..Because I had to do and prepare everything on my own..

Okay, start with sahur..Kalau dulu, during primary and secondary school period, bangun sahur ibu laa kejut..Bangun tido je, straight to toilet..Basuh muka, gosok gigi and terus duduk meja makan..Foods were all ready on the table..Makan je..Then, while I was doing my foundation, that time I lived in Kuala Lumpur..Consider okay lagi laa..Just kena bangun sahur sendiri, she gave calls to wake me up..Selagi tak bangun, selagi tu laa dia call..Juadah sahur suma beli from restoran Arif before tido..Nanti sahur, bangun panaskan je..NOW, bangun sahur sendiri, makanan suma prepare sendiri..

Next, waktu bebuka..Kalau dulu, juadah bebuka, ibu laa prepare..Plus, ayah beli from bazar ramadhan sikit2..I also bought something from bazar for myself, usually kuih2 and air (tebu, soya, cincau, jagung)..As a result, banyak laa makanan atas meja during bebuka..Then, while lived in Kuala Lumpur..Okay laa juga..Waktu bebuka just go to Ma Kita with some friends, our favorite kedai makan..They got various menus of foods..So, gilir2 laa menu2 tu suma..NOW, I cook for my juadah bebuka..Nasi, lauk2, air suma sendirian berhad..

Then, terawih laa..Kalau dulu, pegi terawih dengan member2..Borak2, sembang2 topik2 remaja laa..Terawih pun sesama Malaysian..NOW, terawih sesama Arabian..Malaysian ada laa 5 to 10 people..But Arabian baca sedap laa, belagu je ayat2 al-Quran..

Aiii, semakin besar, semakin banyak cabaran..

Bekerja

Finally, I worked =)
It was my first time working here in Canberra as a penyusun CDs, DVDs and books..Well, it was a good experience indeed..Basically, what I had to do was arranging all the CDs, DVDs and books on the tables so that they looked attractive during sales day..So simple..Some more, gained extra dollars was absolutely great..Even it was not much but it came from my titik peluh..Bangga2 =b But tak peluh pun sebenarnye since I worked at night for roughly 3.5 hours only..3 hours of working and 0.5 hours of eating pizza treated by Mr Boss, forgot his name already..Thanks a lot mate..

Actually, there was an exhibition held in Dickson..A guy, particularly the boss was short of workers..Worst, he need to get all his stuffs ready for sales in 2 days time..Then, Syam offered me to go and help out Mr Boss, a working opportunity for me..As I had nothing much to do at home and the job was pretty easy, I got myself prepared for work..Went to work with Chimok and Syam, met Alex and other workers there..They were good people, nice to know them and be friends..Mr Boss was also good, he talked a lot and made stupid jokes..No stress at all while working..Late that night, he sent all of us home..My first working experience was a good one =)

Malam Gemilang

This was another awesome event here in Canberra..Malam Gemilang was actually an event to celebrate Malaysia Independence day which on 31st August every year..But here in Canberra, we celebrate that day a bit early due to what reason I didn't know..

The night began with the arrival of the VIPs which accompanied by kompang lead by Bob and the gang..Then, there was a short speech given by one of the VIP..I heard nothing of that speech, we were busy talking rather than hearing..Yeah, it was rude but what to do as the speech was totally boring, a waste of time indeed..

Okay, the real night commenced with performance by a group of students called themselves Tommy and the Pussycat..They sang songs taken from the old movie Bujang Lapok, nice songs..Next, some first year students consists of Malay, Chinese and Indian delivered a sajak entitled A Letter from Tunku..Later on, it was time for makan2 and it was buffet style..Overall, the food was delicious..But, not worth it with $42..HaHa..

The night continue with other performances..Of all the performances, a band from Indonesia really caught my attention..They were good and the singer got a very sweet and nice voice..In between the performances, as usual, we got raffles draw..I was not lucky that night, wasted $20 for nothing..

The night came to its ultimate moment when all of us stood up and sang KeranaMu Malaysia with Jalur Gemilang in our hands..I felt so patriotic..I love MALAYSIA =)

Kopitiam

This evening, we had 'kopitiam' near engineering building..As usual, the event was held by MSO..Well, nothing much happened..We had some food, mamak style..The food was okay, worth it laa with 3 dollars..Here were the menus:
- Nasi.
- Fried chicken.
- Butter chicken.
- Lodeh which I didn't know what it was.
- Mee rojak.
- Sweet corn.
- Air limau.

Then, they played some games..I watched a few..Later on I made my way to Supabarn to buy some stuffs..

I'm coming back!

Wohoo, bought my ticket back to Malaysia already..The price..?Didn't matter, I don't give a damn about it..I just wanna go back Malaysia..That is all in my mind..What a relief when I am confirm to be on the flight on the date which I choose which is a day after the final exam end..Can't wait, cant' wait..Can't wait to finish my final exam..Too excited to finish the exam..HeHe =)

Seriously, I miss all those faces..ibu, ayah, adek2 and her..Roughly 7 months I am thousands miles away from them..Huu..Miss u guys so much laaa..For sure I will be dating all those people pueh2 this coming November..Plus, I really hope to meet all Jitra ClanZ..Lama kott x hang out together dgn dorg, talk shit, merepek kerepek, men futsal, lepak mamak..HaHa..

International Ball '09

International Ball just now was a blast..It was my first time went to such event and I felt absolutely great..Bought the ticket was not a waste of money, worth it indeed as I won a raffles draw prize worth more than my ticket price..Even I failed to grab the major prize tonight which was a return ticket to Malaysia, I was lucky enough to meet Angeline who was the grand winner..She was willing to sell me that ticket with some discount, completely less than the price which MAS offered..Thx yea..

Okay, the event started with registration of all guests around 7.00..Got ourselves registered and we were in table 17..Nice man, our table was quite front, close to VIP's table..So, we got clear views of all performances..A Hong Kong's band commenced the shows by performing 2 songs which I understood nothing..I was like what the hell they were singing..Then, there were some dances performed by MSO with other ANU's students..2 Chinese fellas came on stage and played their traditional musical instruments, that was their performance I guessed..Poor them, nobody was giving attentions as everybody were too busy with their cameras and foods..The foods were okay je..All the delicious dishes were non-halal..So, I just had some vegetables, fishes and macaroni with orange juice..Plus, some chinese fried rice which was like bubur, lembik smcm pun..

Here came the part which I was waiting, raffles draw..HeHe..In the first round, too bad..My ticket didn't came out..The night continue with other performances by some girls from ANU..Sexy and hot were the best words to describe them..Afterward, Radin and the gang show up with their break dance..I loved this part the most..They were fast, cool and enegertic..An awesome performance from them..Later on, it was Funny Carpet turn to show some cool stuff..This band was good..While they were singing, the dance floor was open..The ball turn up to a club, bunch of people were dancing..Done with all singing and dancing, the final raffles draw was held, won a prize this time..=)

The ball ended just after we had our dessert and tea..There was an after party held at UniPub for us..It was like a special party for people who attended the ball..Not for me, I returned home..
